Amenhotep IV was born in ancient Egypt during the 18th century and as his father was Pharaoh he was groomed to fill the role
of his father. In essence, he was born a leader.
Once Amenhotep IV was made ruler over Egypt he changed his name to Akhenaton which co-incided with the change of religion
he implemented for the entire country. (Worldwide: El-Amarna, Egypt, 2001). Changing the religious culture of Egypt was a
difficult task, but as a great leader he was able to overcome obstacles with ingenious methods. For example Akhenaton used
ancient propaganda methods to get the message of one god out to the people (Anderson, 1999).
Akhenaton is also remembered for not only changing the religion of Egyptian, but also changing Egyptian art and creating
a new capital city. These three amazing achievement, in such as short period of time confirm the greatness of his leadership
abilities.
